Hospitality Team Resources:
Training and Operational Manuals
- Hospitality Team Manual: A comprehensive guide covering the team’s purpose, vision, position descriptions (Greeter, Lobby Host, Usher, Captain), dress code, and emergency protocols.
- Position-Specific Guides: Brief “To-Do” lists for Ushers, Greeters, Lobby Hosts, and Captains included as attachments in the manual.
- PULSE Class: A four-week small group led by pastors that introduces the church’s vision, values, history, and membership opportunities.
- Meeting-Briefing-Training (MBT): Annual session for the entire team to receive updates and practice service scenarios.
- Hospitality Team FAQ: A document answering frequently asked questions about scheduling, attire, and team roles and more.
Communication and Scheduling Tools
- Weekly Wednesday REMINDER: An email sent to the team containing links to schedules, resource articles, and ministry updates.
- Sunday Schedules: Monthly rosters (1st through 5th Sundays) that detail specific team assignments, service times (9:00 AM and 11:00 AM), and stations.
- H-Team Roster: A list of all team members, including their roles, contact information, and service preferences.
- Step-by-Step Scheduling Guide: A resource linked in the REMINDER to help members check their assignments.
Physical and On-Site Resources
- Information Center (Welcome Center): A central resource station (Typically staffed by a Lobby Host) for answers to questions about church activities, ministries, and events.
- Church Floor Plan: A diagram showing room numbers and sanctuary seating, available at the Information Center and via the REMINDER.
- Sanctuary Seating Chart: A map used by Ushers to assist with seating and section management.
- H-Team Nametags: Identification worn by team members to denote authority and training while serving the congregation.
- Special Distribution Guide: Protocols for the row-by-row distribution of bulletins, communion elements, or other special items.
Forms and Applications
- Serve Application: An online or paper form required for regulars (attending 90+ days) who wish to join the H-Team.
- Membership Application: A form for those wishing to formally join the church after attending for at least 90 days.
- Connect Cards: Forms found in the weekly bulletin or at the Information Center for guests to provide information or request prayer.
- Prayer Requests: Tools for submitting requests via online forms, Connect Cards, or the Information Center.
Specialized Logistics and Support
- ‘Team Iris’ Resources: A dedicated transportation group with a “Chief Transporter” to ensure the delivery of specific members to Sunday services.
- H-Team Council: A leadership group that meets 3 to 4 times a year to address routine issues and plan for ministry improvements.
- Accessibility Aids: Resources available at the Information Center including past bulletins, literature, wheelchairs, earplugs, and much more.
