Welcome Team Resources:

Visitor Intake & Initial Contact Resources

  • Connect Cards: Available in both paper and online formats, these cards are the primary tool for capturing visitor information, including contact details, age group, children’s ministry check-in, and specific ministry interests.
  • Pastor’s Guest Letter: A formal welcome letter from the Senior Pastor sent to recent visitors expressing appreciation and inviting them to introduce themselves to staff.
  • Personalized Sticky Notes: Short, handwritten or typed notes from the Welcome Team leaders that are affixed to the Pastor’s letters to add a personal touch.
  • Immediate Email Follow-up: A personal email sent by a Welcome Team leader immediately following the first successful contact with a visitor.

Digital & Social Media Resources

  • Visitor Newsletter: A monthly digital newsletter sent to visitors for their first six months. It includes ministry highlights, upcoming events, and personal introductions from various pastors.
  • Church Website: A central hub for facility tours, online services, and general church information.
  • Social Media Channels: Active Facebook and YouTube pages used for live-streaming services and hosting messages on demand.
  • Weekly Text Devotionals: A subscription-based service (via the word “devotional” texted to a dedicated number) that provides daily faith-based resets.
  • SermonSend App: The mobile platform used to deliver and view daily devotionals.

Engagement & Educational Programs

  • The PULSE Class: A special four-week small group designed for new visitors to learn about the vision, history, and core values of the church.
  • First Things First: A foundational Bible study program specifically for new believers or those wanting to learn more about the Christian faith.
  • Trimester Growth Groups: A comprehensive directory of mid-week ministries including Celebrate Recovery, “Fierce” Women’s Ministry, “Under Construction” or “Forged” Men’s Ministry, and Anchored Young Adults.
  • Children’s & Youth Ministries: Age-specific programs such as Kids Life (Nursery to 5th Grade), “Ignited” Junior High, and “Stoked” High School.

Team & Administrative Resources

  • The Welcome Team: A dedicated group of approximately 15 to 18 volunteers representing various ministries who provide personalized outreach, invitations, and in-person introductions to the congregation.
  • Hospitality Team (H-Team): A large 100+-member team responsible for Sunday morning services, including 14 captains and various ministry “Ambassadors” who identify potential new volunteers.
  • Visitor Log & Statistics Database: An Excel-based tracking system used for over nine years to log visitor demographics, contact history, and newsletter engagement stats.
  • Welcome Team Roster & Headshots: An internal document including photos and contact information for team members to facilitate communication and referrals.
  • Six-Month Survey: A feedback tool sent to visitors after they have received all six-monthly newsletters to measure their overall impression and current involvement level
